The holiday season is upon us! Inevitably each year, we face the task of shopping for that person who already has everything. What better way to give a gift and honor someone than with alternative giving. Through alternative giving, you can let that special person know just how much you care by making a donation in their name to help Habitat! Each donation helps us to continue building simple, decent, and affordable homes. If you think alternative giving is a great option for you, follow the link below and click the blue ‘DONATE NOW’ button. Be sure to put your loved one’s address in the description box and we’ll send them a card to notify them of your donation!

Congratulations to the Trumansburg Area Churches on their achievement of raising $5,000 towards the Habitat project at Salo Drive! And a big congratulations to Brenda Manheim of Trumansburg on winning the Treman Backyard House structure!
Up next, the group will begin selling chocolates in their continued efforts to raise funds!
Here you will find project information and updates about the Turmansburg Area Churches build on Salo Dr.
The Trumansburg Area Churches Council is comprised of nine churches from within the community. These churches have joined together in the desire to help in raising funds to build a house!
The process was based on having to provide a finished product that would be capable of meeting multiple needs of various people that may want a structure to widen the demand for the “raffle prize”. It could be a kids stage or play area, a retreat near a pond, a summertime get-away, or enclosed for storage or three season usage.
Construction began at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds just a few days prior to the July 21st opening of the Grassroots Festival. A group of dedicated individuals took time to construct this beautiful piece of work! Despite record highs of heat and humidity, these courageous indviduals worked together and completed “Treman’s Backyard House.”
The care and dedication to this project can be visibly seen through the great craftsmanship!
The inscription reads, “This shelter, to be raffled, was created at the 2011 grassrootsfestival. Metalwork donated by Durand’s Forge in support of a Habitat for Humanity house to be built in Trumansburg. The excitement is building!”
