Join us in the fight against poverty housing and homelessness — lend a hand and your voice today. We have lots of ways for you to get involved!
Building sites: Each year, skilled and unskilled volunteers help us build one to three houses in Tompkins and/or Cortland Counties. We are currently building at 201 Barrows Street, Groton and Salo Drive, Trumansburg
Women Build: Habitat’s volunteer program for women who want to learn construction skills and build homes and communities, Women Build brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide. We are currently building at 203 Barrows Street, Groton
A Brush With Kindness: Habitat’s exterior home preservation service that offers painting, landscaping, weather stripping and minor repair services for homeowners in need. ABWK helps low-income homeowners impacted by age, disability and family circumstances, who struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes, reclaim their homes with pride and dignity.
Youth Volunteer: Habitat offers many programs for youth to get involved in addressing housing issues. Youth must be 16 to be on an active construction site, but we have other opportunities for young people.
Office Volunteer: We rely on the kind hearts and helping hands of volunteers to staff nearly all of our administrative needs.
