The 208 & 210 Third Street project marks the first time TCHabitat is building a single family semi-detached house (the building will resemble a duplex, but will be two owner-occupied units). This arrangement will allow Habitat to house two families on the small city lot. The two-story homes will each be approximately 1,400 square feet, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We are excited to have two Habitat Homeowners living downtown within walking distance of all the amenities of the City of Ithaca. We are maximizing this lot by building efficiently, and thoughtfully within the guidelines of the Tompkins County Comprehensive Plan. TCHabitat will need the time and talents of individuals and organizations to turn this lot into two safe, affordable homes for these Habitat Homeowners, please join us by applying to be a volunteer.
