Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland Counties (TCHFH) has launched its Women Build program! Women Build aims to help women address the issue of substandard housing in their community by teaching them construction skills and encouraging them to help fund—and build—Habitat homes for local families. Women Build is not about excluding men, it’s about including women. Over 250 women are already participating, and that number is constantly growing!

Stay tuned for details about volunteer shift times on June 2nd. Email womenbuild@tchabitat.com with questions.

Past Events (2011)
More recently, on Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th, we celebrated National Women Build Week and Mother’s Day by hosting Women Build Weekend! Raising over $11,000.00 and bringing 150 women on site to volunteer, this weekend was a great success for our affiliate–and a lot of fun! Thanks so much to all of our volunteers, donors, neighbors, and special guests!
