Cookie Walk

It’s the sweetest event of the year! Join dozens of bakers from across our community to help us put on a pop-up bakery like you’ve never seen, all to help raise funds for more affordable homes.

Cookies for a good cause

Habitat’s annual Cookie Walk fundraiser is held on the first Saturday of December, at Center Ithaca on the Ithaca Commons. It’s the sweetest event of the year!

Become a volunteer baker

Many hands makes light (and sweet!) work for this holiday event. Each year volunteers from across the community bake their way to building a better community.

We’re always recruiting more bakers! Student groups, faith congregations, and service clubs often enjoy baking as a bunch to support the Cookie Walk. This is a great opportunity to involve youth in supporting our work, too.

What to Expect at the Cookie Walk

  • There’s a cookie for everyone: Traditional cookies, holiday classics, specially decorated treats, cookies for kids, gluten-free and vegan options.
  • Day of volunteers assemble a pop-up bakery in Center Ithaca with 12+ banquet tables full of unique treats. It takes a small army to sort, label, display, pack, and sell all of those cookies in just a few hours.
  • Cookie Lovers Unite! No time to bake? Looking for a family-friendly holiday outing? Come to the Cookie Walk and buy cookies!
  • Create your own custom cookie container: We offer a variety of types and sizes of containers for your cookies – fill a bag with a few cookies as snack, or fill multiple containers to give as gifts or serve at your holiday party!
  • How much does it cost? Cookies are sold by the pound and we accept cash, check, credit cards and Venmo for payment. We also sell pre-packed ‘grab and go’ containers which include a mix of cookies.

Thank You to Our Cookie Walk partners

These community partners make the Cookie Walk a great success, year after year.
