partnership opportunities built around your organization’s goals.

Community Partnerships Build a Stronger Tompkins and Cortland Counties
Too many families in Tompkins and Cortland Counties are one rent increase away from instability. That gap doesn’t close on its own. It closes when businesses, community organizations, and nonprofits decide to build something together. When your organization partners with us you’re investing in the community your employees, customers, and neighbors call home.
Partnership Opportunities
Choose the partnership model that fits your goals.

Sponsor a Group Volunteer Day
Bring your team to the build site for a hands-on day of meaningful work. Group volunteer days are one of the most effective ways to build team culture, break down hierarchy, and invest in your community — all in a single afternoon. No construction experience required.

Sponsor a Community Event
Put your organization’s name behind a community event that matters. From golf tournaments to playhouse raffles and our beloved Cookie Walk, event sponsorships offer brand visibility, employee engagement, and a direct connection to affordable housing work in Tompkins and Cortland Counties.

Sponsor a Home or Program
For organizations ready to make a major community investment, home and program sponsorships offer the deepest impact — and meaningful recognition opportunities. Your sponsorship directly funds the building or repair of an affordable home for a family in Tompkins and Cortland Counties.
Thank You to Our Community Partners
We’re proud to build alongside our community partners and grateful for their commitment to the first-time homebuyers in our community.

We’ve done team-building events at escape rooms, ropes courses, and bowling alleys. None of them stuck with our team the way the Habitat build day did. Six months later, people still talk about the family we built with.

Questions About Community Partnerships?
Most group volunteer days run 4–6 hours and accommodate teams of 5 to 25+ participants. We handle the project planning, safety orientation, tools, and on-site supervision — your team just shows up ready to work! Tasks are designed for all skill levels, and no prior construction experience is needed. We can work with your schedule and group size to design a day that fits.
We recommend reaching out at least 4-6 weeks before your ideal date to ensure availability and allow time for project planning. For larger groups (15+) or specific date requirements, earlier is better. Reach out through the above form and our partnerships team will follow up within 2 business days, or contact us at 607-844-3529.
Group volunteer days are available at no cost for standard participation, although we always encourage and appreciate a donation to help cover the cost of staff, tool maintenance, and the materials you’ll be using during your work day. Organizations interested in deeper engagement — including event sponsorships or home and program sponsorships — invest at various levels. We’re happy to talk with you about all available partnership options when you reach out.
Closed-toe shoes are required on all build sites — no exceptions. Comfortable, work-appropriate clothing is recommended. We provide all tools, materials, safety equipment, and on-site guidance. Teams are welcome to bring water and snacks, but we’ll also have some on-site. We’ll take care of the rest!
